"Enjoyed our stay!"
We spent two nights while working our way down to Brighton. We were barely in the room, too busy exploring the picturesque footpaths and peaceful green spaces. Naturally the best part is the traditional pub right downstairs, it also has a nice garden seating. The room, though tired, was a good size, quiet, and had a nice clean bed. Would Stay here again! 2 night stay over a bank holiday weekend, we needed somewhere close to avoid a lot of travelling. This was a good choice and good value for money. The food we had there was pretty good too although not so good value for money as the accommodation. We were in the smallest "Budget" room which was adequate for our needs. If we had spent longer there it may have been claustrophobic although the hotel has other nice seating areas. Read less

We liked the pub atmosphere in a quiet location. The breakfasts were excellent and the steak night meal was pretty good too. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were very well done.
Dislikes:
The noisy other guests and particularly a noisy shower(?) in a nearby room that fellow guests insisted on using at unsociably early hours. Noise from the corridor at midnight was not helpful either.

The staff were very friendly and went the extra mile to help. Two of the mornings I was too ill to get up in time for breakfast so they brought it to my room. Food was amazing! Room lovely!
Dislikes:
The room was adapted for a wheelchair and was brilliant but they could do with a special fold out seat on the wall in the shower. There was a ledge but too low to get up again once on it.

Overnight visit on business ....already booked many more nights here over the next 2 months, as enjoyed the stay so much. Beautiful little village, also having chinese and indian restaurants, a best western and another nice looking pub all within walking distance - so if you're staying a few nights, there are opportunities for a change of scenery.
